Happy Top Ten Tuesday, everyone!
I hope you all are having a great week so far. Before we get started, I thought I would provide a little Tuesday funny for you all:
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ThatArtsyReaderGirl. Each week, there is a new topic for which we post 10 pertinent items. For more information, see the TTT info page here. Today’s topic is “Most Anticipated Releases for the First Half of 2021!” I am pretty behind on series so there are not too many novels that I am anticipating to be released right now. But there are a few that I can come up with off the top of my head! I decided to mix it up and give a little title to each of my selections. I hope it makes sense. Because I work all day tomorrow, I am drafting up this post the night before and I am on little brain power after work. 😂 Apologies in advance for anything that doesn’t make sense!
- 😫Book I have Waited the Longest to be Released: A Court of Silver Flames by SJM
I am really excited to read another SJM novel and I absolutely adore ACOTAR so I am excited to see how this book is. I am not a huge fan of Nesta, but maybe SJM will change my mind. 😊 - 🤩Book I Literally Can’t Wait to be Released (p1): Gods and Monsters by Shelby Mahurin
I loved Serpent and Dove (as you all know since I won’t shut up about it😂), enjoyed Blood and honey (that ending broke me) and I am excited to see how this whole thing ends! - 🤩Book I Literally Can’t Wait to be Released (p2): Blessed Monsters (Something Dark and Holy, #3) by Emily Duncan
I have no idea where this is going to go so I am highly anticipating the finale! - 🧐YA Mystery Book I am Excited For: The Box in the Woods by Maureen Johnson
I enjoyed the first book and loved the last two books. Overall, I loved the story/mystery. At first, I didn’t love Stevie’s character but she definitely grew on me in the final book (I say final because it was the last book that involved the Ellingham murders). I am very interested to see if The Box in the Woods intrigues me as much as the first three Truly Devious books did! - 😬2021 Release I Will Read but Am Not Too Excited For: The Queen Will Betray You by Sarah Henning
I found The Princess Will Save You enjoyable and entertaining, but I am definitely not jumping out of my skin for the next book. That’s just me though!
Reading update: I finished Addie LaRue and wow. The ending! Near the end, I was in tears and by the very last page I was grinning with the promise of triumph! I think Addie LaRue was the best book of VE Schwab’s that I have read so far.
What are some 2021 releases that you are anticipating? Let me know in the comments below. Be sure to put the link your TTT post in the comments so I don’t miss it!🥰

I was really disappointed by the ending to the Truly Devious series, so I wasn’t sure about The Box In The Woods, but I think I will try it!

Glad you liked it and that is very true! I hope you pick up the other books! I found The Vanishing Stair and The Hand on the Wall way better than the first book. 😊

I’m on the fence about the new SJM book but I’m kind of want to know who’s in that spicy scene I heard about 😂.

Yeah, I am more reading it out of curiosity. (I strongly dislike the cover, too. Biggest bookish pet peeve was triggered!) I liked where things ended in ACOWAR and found ACOFAS okay so we will see about this next book. Maybe Nesta’s character will be more likable 😂 I definitely want to know about that spicy scene too hehe 😂 Thanks for stopping by, Lauren! ❤️
