🎅🏼HoHoHoRAT❄️: Nov 30!

HoHoHo Readathon
@caffeinatedreviewer

Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone is having a great start to the week. Today is the LAST day of the read-a-thon. And the LAST day of November. How the time flies! Also a little weather update… It is snowing where I live! 😱❄️

I know, I know… it is not technically winter yet😂 but, where I live, clearly the weather believes it is wintertime since we are having our first snow!

Okay, enough blabbering from me.

I finished my last book 📖(Hunted, Meagan Spooner) yesterday evening so I am officially finished reading for the read-a-thon! 😱. Now I just have to upload this last post and that will be the conclusion my participate in the HoHoHo read-a-thon!

Today’s topic for the very last HoHoHoRAT post is favorite read of the thon. It is soooo hard to pick a favorite. Partly because it took me a second to remember what I read again. 😂 My brain is a bit fried from reading so much! But, really, the difficult lies in the fact that each book was so different. I read a couple fantasy novels, one (adult) romance, one mystery and one fiction…

Alas, a favorite must be chosen so… My favorite read of the thon was… *drumroll pleaseeee🥁*

From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata

I think. 😂 I also really liked Hunted by Meagan Spooner. They are both really different so it is hard to pick a favorite, if you know what I mean. But I will go with From Lukov with Love as my favorite read of the thon.

I am thinking of doing a book review on From Lukov with Love so I will outline my thoughts on the book more extensively in that post, but for now I will say that I really enjoyed this novel due to my being able to relate to some aspects of the lifestyle of the main character and the banter between Ivan and Jasmine was downright hilarious.

Here are some numbers 🔢 from this thon:

Total books read this thon: 5 books
Total pages read: 1,688 pages

I am pretty happy with what I got read during the thon and I am so happy to have been able to participate!🥰

That is all I have for this very last part of the HoHoHoRAT 2020 hosted by Kimberly @CaffeinatedReviewer. This was my second time participating in a read-a-thon hosted by Kimberly and I enjoyed them both so very much. Thank you Kimberly for hosting the thon and thank you to all of the “elves” for hosting the mini challenges throughout.💙

Talk to you guys tomorrow for Top Ten Tuesday!

🎅🏼HoHoHoRAT❄️: Nov 28

Happy Saturday everyone!
I hope you guys had a great Saturday. Mine was very busy which is why I am posting pretty late!

Today’s HoHoHoRAT post topic is homemade goodie and holiday book!

I did not bake any goodies today so… I thought I would just include one of my favorite desserts that I rarely get to eat since Christmas is one of those holidays where we cook certain dishes and bake certain goodies only at that time of year!

This is kaju katli and it is one of my favorite Indian desserts besides gulab jamun. Kaju katli is made from cashews and the silver on top is edible silver on the top.😋

As for a holiday book, I went with a children’s book called The Christmas Mouse. 🐭 I don’t know the author and I couldn’t find the original book so you will have to take my word for it that it exists😂 All of the books/covers I found were from 2016 but I read this (or my parents read it to me) in the early-mid 2000s!! It is really going to bug me that I can’t remember/can’t find the original cover/book!

Have you heard of The Christmas Mouse?🐭

RAT Update: I am expecting to finish Hunted by Meagan Spooner this evening. That is all I had planned for this RAT! 😊 But I will keep posting the HoHoHoRAT posts, of course. 🥰

Happy Friday, everyone and good evening!
I am posting late because man… it was a crazy day. Then, I got home, ate. some dinner, hung out with my sister…and realized I totally forgot to post my HoHoHo post!!

Today’s post topic is Favorite Chair and Book!

I don’t really have a favorite chair (I don’t have a chair that I read in actually), but here is my favorite spot in my apartment right now…

I am planning on wrapping lights around the legs of the blanket ladder but haven’t gotten the lights yet. Either way, I am totally loving the way this corner turned out!

As for the book, I am currently reading Hunted by Meghan Spooner

What do you guys think of my little Christmas corner? 🎄🎅🏼

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!🦃
I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with love and joy. I realize some of you may be apart from your families and I know from experiences that it is really hard being away during the holidays. ❤️ However, our family and friends are always with us even if not physically. And thank goodness for the technology of this day and age where we can Zoom or FaceTime our loved ones… otherwise it would be much harder to cope. Sending hugs to you all! 🥰

Okay, enough rambling by me now… Let’s get on to today’s HoHoHoRAT post: Current Read and a Snack!

I am currently reading…

I am about 60 pages in. I really am hoping I can finish this book and Hunted before the 30th! We will see…

Okay so the snack that I chose…

I love Khatta Meetha and I am fortunate to now live right by a few Indian stores so I can get it with ease. I don’t have to ask my dad to send me a care package of Indian foods!😂 I know Khatta Meetha isn’t really a “holiday” themed snack but it makes for a great snack while reading. 😊

Happy Thanksgiving my lovely friends. I hope you have a lovely day!

🎅🏼HoHoHoRAT❄️: Nov. 25

Hello my lovely reader friends!
We are back with yet another HoHoHoRAT post with the topic of today being: Book and Ornament!

The book I chose is…

A Gingerbread Romance: Based on a Hallmark Channel original movie

I thought the cover was just so festive and pretty! I also love gingerbread.

For the ornament, I decided to choose…

A mermaid ornament!

My apartment is beach themed with teal accents so I have a mini teal Christmas tree in the corner! 😊

RAT Update: I finished Murder on the Orient Express! Now onto A Royal Christmas Wish 👑🎄
Books Finished: 3/5

HoHoHo Readathon
@CaffeinatedReviewer

Hey, everyone!
I apologize I keep switching up the title of the RAT posts. I figured going by day would honestly just be easier to track. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it earlier!

Today’s prompt is favorite holiday movie and… dang, that is a hard prompt! I always draw a blank when it comes to answering “what is your favorite…” type of questions.

After much deliberation, I would say that my favorite movie is….

The Polar Express! 🚆❄️

Watching this movie is my family’s Christmas eve tradition! I love this movie and it has such a great message. 💙

RAT Update: I finished Snow in Love and have started reading Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie.
Books read: 2/5
Current read: 20/264

What is your favorite holiday movie?

🎅🏼HoHoHoRAT❄️: Day 2

HoHoHo Readathon
@CaffeinatedReviwer

Happy Friday, everyone!

Today’s HoHoHoRAT post topic is a book cover with snow. ⛄️

A Timeless Christmas: An Enchanting Time Travel Romance

A Timeless Christmas is a historical romance and goes with the holiday aspect of the thon’s theme.

Frostfire (Kanin Chronicles Series #1)

I thought I would also put Frostfire because the cover is very snowy and pretty! I still have to read this book; I read the Trylle series and loved it, which is why I bought this book. I just haven’t gotten to read it yet!

Reading Update: ~260 pages in From Lukov with Love!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! 😊

What are some of your favorite book covers with snow featured in them? Let me know in the comments below!

🎅🏼HoHoHoRAT❄️: Day 1

HoHoHo Readathon
@CaffeinatedReviewer

Happy Thursday everyone!
Today is the start of the HoHoHoRAT and I am super excited!! 😁

For today’s RAT prompt, we are posting about our first read.📚

First Read: From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata

This isn’t a holiday read, but it is winter themed! I am especially excited to read this novel because it involves figure skating and, as a former competitive figure skater, this really interests me! 😃 I have actually never read a novel that centers around a figure skater so I am really excited to see how I like this story.

Have you guys read From Lukov With Love or Snow in Love? If so, what did you think?

-Maya🌹
