S – Series you loved this month
Book wise: I didn’t really read a whole lot/whole lot of series this month so I will just say that a book I loved (that is part of a series) was The Bear and the Nightingale. Technically, I finished it yesterday but I am considering it, for the purposes of this post, my favorite for last month (since I started reading it in March anyway 😂)

S – Surprise – Something that totally caught you off guard
I started working two jobs this month and it caught me off guard, I guess, with how much I like my second job and working two jobs! It is pretty tiring but it is also fun and I love being busy. What also caught me off guard was that I hit a reading wall and it has been hard to bounce back.

I enjoyed Paperbacks and Planner’s Spring has Sprung Book Tag. (This tag was originally created by Amanda from The Naughty Librarian). Be sure to check their blog out!! They have great content. ❤️

That is all for this month’s SASSY Saturday! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. 😊

🦊Sassy Saturday: January Edition

Happy Saturday, everyone!
How are you all doing? The weather is pretty nice today. While it is a little bit chilly (which I don’t really mind) the sky is mostly clear and the sun🌞 is shining!😍

Today’s post is 🦊Sassy Saturday🦊, a monthly meme hosted by V @TheSassyLibraryFox where we answer the 5 SASSY questions. “This meme was created to get to know other bloggers, their new obsessions and to reflect on your own last month!” – V. Here is the link for the Sassy Saturday info page.

S – Series you loved this month
From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L Armentrout
Rhapsodic by Laura Thalassa

I really couldn’t pick a favorite! They both involve my favorite tropes – enemies to lovers – and both of their stories I found so unique that both of them are my favorite 😂

Holly Black
Richelle Mead

How many books I read! The beginning to the middle of the month was pretty tough and I really threw myself into reading. It was my escape, my sanctuary. Even though I was going through some personal hardships, it ended up in my reading more! Even in the bad, there is good.

I really enjoyed reading Hayden’s (@FollowingGoodBooks) book reviews this month! They were all very well written, thoughtful and interesting! Here is the link to Hayden’s review for Lore.

I hope you all have a peaceful weekend.🥰 Catch up with you all tomorrow for 🌞The Sunday Post🌞!

🦊SASSY Saturday

Happy Saturday, everyone! How are you doing so far this weekend? I slept in again😂 My sister works the night shift at the hospital and I have been staying up late for when she comes home (because I miss her so much while she is gone 🥺), but then I sleep in until 10am😴😂. I start working again on Monday so I need to right my sleeping schedule!

🦊SASSY Saturday is a monthly meme hosted by Virginia @TheSassyLibraryFox where we talk about our obsessions from the previous month. It is a great way to get to know other bloggers and it is such a fun post to do. Be sure to check out Virginia’s blog, too; it has great content and you won’t be sorry you checked it out! I feel really badly because I keep bringing up Serpent and Dove and you guys are probably like 🙄 “again, you are bringing that series up” BUT hey. At least I am consistent! 😂 I also really loved Six of Crows (but I have yet to read the second book so I didn’t know if that would count)

I get to this part every month and I draw a blank! My two best friends, my sister and I did a gift exchange for the first time this year. A little background, the first one of my two best friends and I have been friends for almost three years now and we never had time to get together due to school. But we have been hanging out more and all of that. She introduced my sister and I to another girl who is now also my (and my sister’s) best friend. So we did our first Christmas gift exchange and I was just so blown away by their gifts. But it wasn’t the gifts per se. It was the thought and the love behind each one. It really blew me away and touched my heart. I felt so loved!❤️

I really enjoyed the Blogmas series by Tree and Bree @WordsAboutWords. I couldn’t really pick a favorite because they were all good, but I have linked one of their Blogmas posts: Blogmas Day Three: Favorite Covers of 2020. If you are not familiar with Tree and Bree’s page, be sure to check out their blog. Their blog is super cute and I love that they are two best friends blogging together! How fun is that?! I always enjoy reading their posts; they have great content!

🦊SASSY Saturday: November

Happy Saturday, bookworms📚🐛

For those of you who don’t know, 🦊SASSY Saturday is a monthly meme hosted by Virginia @TheSassyLibraryFox. SASSY Saturday was created as a way to reflect on the previous month by way of answering 5 questions. This meme also serves as a way to get to know more bloggers in the blogging community!

This SASSY Saturday is a reflection on the month of November. In January, I will post a SASSY Saturday for the month of December so be sure to watch out for that, too! 😁

The rules are pretty simple! Tag Virginia @TheSassyLibrary Fox and link back and answer the 5 SASSY questions.

Let’s get started!😁

S – Series you loved this month

I really, really enjoyed The Vanishing Stair by Maureen Johnson, which is part of the Truly, Devious series by Maureen Johnson.

A – Author you discovered

I discovered Mariana Zapata! ⛸From Lukov with Love was suggested to me by a fellow blogger (Deanna @ANovelGlimpse) and that is how I discovered Mariana Zapata. Thank you Deanna for the suggestion; I really enjoyed the book!

*I am probably going to be posting a book review on ⛸From Lukov with Love so be sure to watch out for that! I would say within the next week it’ll be up.

S – Song you couldn’t get enough of

I am really into trailer/classical/instrumental music and in the process of looking for new music, I came across this song. It is so epic! I am a huge Two Steps from Hell fan, but they haven’t really put any new music out so if anyone knows of any similar music to Two Steps, lemme know! 😊

S – Surprise – Something that totally caught you off guard

This one has yet again stumped me. But I started doing digital coloring on my iPad and I will say that it did catch me off guard how much I really enjoyed it — and became addicted to it. 😂 I really enjoy being able to exercise my creativity in that way.

Y – Your fave blog post of another blogger

I really enjoyed Cat’s post (@ThisIsOneForTheBooks) on the three most beautiful libraries around the world. I love libraries. It is seriously my dream to go around the world and visit all sorts of different libraries.

Hope you guys enjoyed this SASSY Saturday post. Be sure to check out Virginia’s SASSY Saturday post: here is the link.

Have a great weekend and talk to you all tomorrow for The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @CaffeinatedReviewer!
