Hellooooo everyone! Good evening!😁 Happy Mother’s Day to you all wonderful, amazing and fantastic mom’s out there! You are truly amazing human beings and you all inspire me with your selflessness, strength and unconditional love.🥰
The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @CaffeinatedReviewer. In this post, we review what happened with the blog over the week and share any news! The format for my post this week will be a bit different than previous weeks just because I really have not been able to read at all this week.
How are you all doing? How was your weekend? Mine was very busy! I recently started medical school applications, which involves the application itself and studying for some situational judgement exams. That, and working two jobs, is really keeping me busy, which is why I was unable to post on Friday and Saturday.
Since I have been super busy, I really have not done any reading, sadly. 😔 I picked up The Bridge Kingdom from Barnes and Noble the other day because I wanted more enemies to lovers (I may be a bit obsessed with that trope, okay?) but I haven’t gotten very far into it! It is pretty good from what I have read so far! I am hoping to get some good reading time in next week and catch up (I am 1 book behind per Goodreads😬).
Next Week’s Blog Schedule

Good morning, everyone and happy Sunday! Happy May! How is your start off to May so far?! I hope it is off to a great start!😊 The weather has been beautiful here. Clear blue skies, sunny and warm with a nice cool breeze🍃 I am soaking it in before it starts to get humid 😂

Good morning, everyone and happy Sunday!🥰 How is your weekend so far? Mine has been pretty good. I have just been working all weekend, which is fine by me. I like working and I don’t mind being busy. The weather here has been a mix of hot and rainy, which is not my favorite combination because… humidity is terrible. 😂 What is the weather like where you are at?
Today’s post is a combination of the Sunday post (hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Reviewer) and my monthly wrap up post for March. The first part will be the Sunday Post and the second part will be the March Wrap Up!

📚March Monthly Wrap Up
Overall, I would say that the month of March was pretty good. In terms of reading, I did not read as much as I would have liked. I went through a little bit of a reading slump and I started a second job so, with those two together, I just did not get that much reading done! I also got a promotion to be a Scribe Ambassador so that was pretty exciting. I am really excited to branch out and get further involved in medical scribing.
Books read in March📖: 4 Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo Daimon by Jennifer Armentrout Half-Blood by Jennifer Armentrout The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden
Book Review(s): A Court of Silver Flames (okay, okay, technically I posted it April 1 BUT I drafted it in March so I am counting it 😂)
TV Shows/Movies Watched📺: H2O … …H2O H2O…
😂 Sooo my sister and I are still obsessed with H2O. We just like to have it on in the background as we hang out on the couch together (my sister usually falls asleep… at which point I either lie down myself or whip out my current read). It is like “our” TV show and it’s how we spend our time together when we are both too tired to do anything else.
Cooking👩🏽🍳 -So I have a Crock-Pot and I decided to try a Crock Pot lasagna recipe. It actually turned out really well! I will link the recipe here in case anyone is interested. Note, I did not use cottage cheese; instead, I used ricotta. I also used pasta sauce and tomato paste rather than plain tomato sauce!
-I also tried a new pan fried noodle recipe and guys. It is so good! I will link the recipe here. I also add water chestnuts to the recipe because I love water chestnuts!
What are some new things that you tried in the month of March? Let me know in the comments below!!
That is all I have for you all today! Be sure to link your Sunday Post and/or your monthly wrap up post so I don’t miss it! I hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful Sunday.
Happy Easter, all! ✝️🐣 I hope you are having a good Easter! My sister and I are not working today so we got to sleep in and have a relaxing morning. Every Easter since we have been living on our own, I make blueberry muffins for my sister and me. This year, I still did some baking but I decided to make banana bread instead! My mom made banana bread for us when she last visited and it reminds me of her so I decided to make some. ❤️
Last night, my gramma was taken to the emergency room as she had labored breathing and could barely stay awake. Lately, she has been experiencing some bad side effects from the chemo but her newer symptoms were really concerning for an infection of some kind so my mom took her to the ER. In the hospital, she started coding and needed to be intubated, put on oxygen and she was given antibiotics for the infection. She is currently stable but what a crazy night. I hope she is able to recover and soon. Prayers for her would be greatly appreciated if you all wouldn’t mind❤️

Currently Reading Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers The Stand by Stephen King
Since I started working a second job, I definitely have not had much time to read! But, I am finding time here and there and I am still hoping to make my goal for 100 books this year!
Recently Finished The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden
I absolutely loved The Bear and the Nightingale. It was a bit slow at the beginning, but the end really picked up and I was hooked! I loved how the author interwove Russian fairy tales into the story. I also thought it was pretty cool that I could recognize some of the fairy tales from reading previous books such as Hunted by Megan Spooner which also had a bit of Russian fairy tales mixed in (Prince Ivan and the Firebird). I love reading how the authors change and/or add to fairy tales!

Bookish News – ACOTAR TV series I am not sure if you guys heard, but some time last week (I think 😂), Sarah J Maas announced that ACOTAR will be a TV series. I am really excited about this especially because the same guy who did Outlander will be working with SJM for ACOTAR. Outlander was very, very well done so I think that ACOTAR will be done well too. I am not putting out any expectations for the characters because I don’t want to be disappointed. Something I was disappointed in, though, was that members of the fandom were upset with this news. Before fully addressing that, we have to take a moment to understand this from SJM’s POV. I mean, can you imagine a book series that you wrote being adapted to a TV show? I mean, how exciting! Secondly, you can enjoy the series without it being exactly like the books were. It is important to keep in mind that books and film/TV are different mediums of storytelling and things will have to be changed to accommodate the change in form! As for me, I am really excited to just see the world come to life on the screen! And how lucky are we that it is a TV series as opposed to a movie! There is so much more you can do a TV series than a movie! Okay, I am done ranting now. 😂
What are your Easter day plans? What are you currently reading? Let me know in the comments below!
Happy Sunday, all!🥰 How is your weekend going? What is new? Everything has really been the same for me. I have mostly just been busy with work! My gramma had her first chemotherapy a couple of days ago. It went well and she seems to be doing fine for right now. They said if she gets sick, it won’t be for a few days after the chemo so we will see what happens. When I was talking to my mom, she mentioned that my gramma has a cancer advocate, which I think is pretty cool! Basically, she got matched with someone who is/was in a similar situation and they talk to each other for support! It is so great that there are so many resources for cancer patients.
In other news, the weather has been up and down (classic OH). It has been mostly cloudy with rain, but every so often we will get a day with a bit of sun and heat. ☀️ Yesterday is was in the mid to high 70s F. The temperature today is supposed to be on the cooler side compared to yesterday, for which I am grateful because my car does not have any AC and the drive to work had me like 🥵.

Good morning, everyone, and happy Sunday!🥰 How is your weekend going so far? How has the weather been? My weekend has flown by! I worked at my second job yesterday and I work there again today. It is a fun job, though so I don’t mind working. The weather here lately has been rainy and cloudy but it has been sunny and warm(ish) this weekend. I don’t mind cloudy days, but long stretches of them can get pretty depressing so I am glad that it was broken up by a sunny weekend!☀️
I have not really been doing much reading because I have just not really felt like reading lately. Between feeling not really motivated in general to read, feeling tired after work, and just other stuff, I have not really had the time or desire to read. I am sad about it because I want to read but I also just don’t feel like it. Once I start reading, I am fine, but it is just getting me there that takes a while. Confusing, I know 😂 But you know what I mean?

Good morning!🌞 How are you doing? Have you asked yourself that lately? Make sure you take a few minutes to check in with yourself!❤️ I am feeling just a bit groggy 😂 I really slept in this morning. 💤 I was feeling really tired when I woke up this morning so I decided to listen to my body and just go back to bed. I am blessed that I have the ability to do that!🥰 Anyway, the weather is super nice here again and it is the only thing that is making leaving my apartment to go grocery shopping worth it 😂 What is the weather like where you live?

Currently reading: The Stand by Stephen King My goal for this week is to get to chapter 30. It has been hard for me to read lately because I have been pretty busy with work and I am so slow at reading books that constantly change POV. 😂 I am not sure why I am like this! Is anyone else similar in that they take longer to read books that switch POV every chapter?
Shadow and Bone: I am also going to start reading Shadow and Bone today!
Recently finishedthis week: Torn by Jennifer Armentrout (4 stars)
Happy Sunday, everyone! I am really not sure why, but I keep thinking today is Monday. 😂 My brain is rushing the weekend! I suppose it is way better to wake up on a Sunday, thinking it is Monday rather than the other way around. 😬 Anyway, how is your weekend? Mine has been pretty good. Saturday was mostly filled with errands and cleaning. Today, it is very rainy! I don’t think I need to go anywhere today so I am mostly just going to go work on updating my blog pages, drafting posts, do some reading, and I have to do some work related stuff before Monday. It will be nice to work and listen to the pitter patter of the rain! Anyone else like listening to the rain?
Also, February is already (pretty much) over?! I can’t believe today is the last day in February but I also feel like I am ready for March 😂 Time is just flying by… I remember this time last year when I was in my last semester of college. I was taking Microbiology + Lab, Human Anatomy/Cadaver Lab, History: Britain and World War II (I was in the midst of writing a 20 page paper on the medicine in the industrial workplace in WWII), Adaptive Animal Physiology (we were allowed a specific area of study so I was researching the physiology behind hibernation in ground squirrels, which are really cute and furry little animals) and senior research (was writing my senior thesis on Reactive Oxygen Species and their role in heart failure). It was a stressful and very busy time but I loved every minute of it!
-End of nostalgic rant 😂-

Hello everyone!🥰 How was your week? My work week ended up being a pretty short one in terms of work due to the snow! Because of that, I had a lot of time to read. Can’t get any better than that for a bookworm!📖

📚Book(s) Finished this Week A Court of Frost and Starlight by SJM A Court of Silver Flames by SJM ** Guys. I loved, loved, loved ACOSF. I finished it in 2 days. 😂 I really hope SJM writes more of these books! I would love for the others to have their own book. Especially Az and Mor. I think I am going to do a book review on it. However, when I really love books, it is so hard for me to properly articulate my thoughts about the book. But might as well try!
📖Currently Reading The Stand by Stephen King **I did not make my last goal of reaching chapter 15. 😂 But you probably already knew that since I put the book off to read ACOSF (which was totally worth it). I also think that because the book is a pandemic, I just don’t want to get anxiety about a fictional pandemic seeing as we are currently experiencing one. 😂 I know it is weird but 🤷🏽♀️ Anyway, this week is the week that I will make a significant dent in the book. The Wicked King by Holly Black Rediscover Jesus by Matthew Kelly **I try and read this every Lent. It helps me set time aside for reflection and prayer, otherwise I tend to push it off. (And then I pray in my bed and fall asleep in the middle of my prayers 😂)

🎥Movies/TV Shows Watched this Week Beauty and the Beast – animated version Beauty and the Beast – live action version (I really love Beauty and the Beast and I was really feeling those movies this week, ok) The Originals
⌨️Writing Updates I started brainstorming ideas for a novel earlier in the year and I finally picked it back up and got a little more serious about it this week. I am trying to be more organized and just going about writing this differently than the last one. I actually might incorporate ideas from the last book I wrote into this one but we will see! It is just fun to play around, imagine and write.
I hope you all have lovely Sunday filled with peace, relaxation, and books!🥰
Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! 🥰🌹❤️ I hope you are all having a lovely weekend so far and a great start to Valentine’s Day! My sister got me flowers and my favorite Ghirardelli dark chocolate caramel squares. I have the best sister ever. My plans for today are not super glamorous 😂 but I really don’t mind. It is too cold to do anything anyway and we are expecting a snow storm so best to stay in this evening. The plan is to work out with my bestie this morning, read (finish) A Court of Frost and Starlight, and watch some movies/TV shows. In terms of TV shows, I think I am going to watch the Valentine’s Day episode for H2O (yes, I still like that show 😂) and watch some Bridgerton. I am not quite sure what movie I will watch. Maybe Pride and Prejudice or Romeo and Juliet. I also have to do some work before I work tomorrow and some meal prep so that is also on the docket for today. What plans do you have for today?
